History

The Fight of the Century of the Week

Miss Fire was first introduced to the story when the main protagonists Gebohq Simon and Galvatron took a break from fighting Ares, the God of War, and chose to sit in the audience of the Colosseum - where they met Miss Fire. Ares was staging fights to entertain the masses through pay-per-view television[2]. She grew bored of watching the battle between Ares and Rob X, so she decided to feed a hot dog to a sentient Blob she discovered by her feet. The blob enjoyed the hot dog so much it jumped up and fell into the Arena amidst the fight[3]. Zuljin, another audience member, tried to save Rob X from the blobs by cutting the blob into tiny pieces. Unfortunately each small blob became an entity of its own and the blobs massed in the Arena[4]. Miss Fire was able to distract the blobs with popcorn, successfully luring them out of the Arena[5].

On NeS Page 2, Enchilada Man arrived in the Arena to sell his Mexican meals to audience members of the Colosseum. His first customer was Miss Fire[6] and though they appear not to know each other at this time, it would later be revealed that they were actually brother-and-sister.(citation needed). Enchilada Man served Miss Fire lemonade, which he got from Galvatron's chest[7]. When Enchilada Man was unexpectedly tagged into the fighting, he fled the Arena in his spaceship the El-Taco-Grande - waved to Miss Fire on the way - and flew back to his homeworld of Espa-nol[8].

Across space, hidden in an asteroid belt was Antestarr's Secret Warehouse where Antestarr would conduct his illicit space pirating activities. Somehow the popcorn, and blobs, that Miss Fire had lured away from the Colosseum had wound their way through space all the way to this warehouse and attacked Antestarr. After killing the blobs with salt, Antestarr vowed to find the one responsible for the blob invasion of his warehouse[9]. Sometime after he arrived in the Arena[10], Antestarr challenged Miss Fire to a duel using his weapon of choice - the self-made LightFoils[11]. Twin Suns was another of the heroes in the Arena, but he had fallen asleep after getting drunk. He now, however, awoke to see Antestarr and Miss Fire battling and thought that they were both villainous characters. He attacked them both by throwing thermal detonators[12] at them[13]. Twin Suns, in his drunkenness, fell and collided with Antestarr[14].The three of them, Twin Suns, Antestarr and Miss Fire, began to toss the thermal detonators to each other like hot potato. Fortunately Morris the Cat, a cat with a bottomless pit stomach, takes an interest and swallows the explosives. The explosives detonate within Morris, creating a comical widening of his stomach and smoke from his ears. Despite all attempts to be reasonable with the drunk, Twin Suns managed to be rude to both Antestarr and Miss Fire enough to get them riled at him[15].

Before their disagreements could be serious, a plot by Grand Admiral Thrawn was unleashed upon the Arena as he sent Rabbit Walkers to destroy the Heroes gathered for Ares' tournament[16]. Miss Fire handed out big guns to Antestarr and Twin Suns so that they could combine their strength to fend off the Rabbit Walkers[17]. After the destruction of the last Rabbit Walker, Twin Suns leads Antestarr and Miss Fire to his spacecraft the Red Talon and the three of them ascend into space in search of the nearest Imperial[18] signal[19]. However when they reach space, where they expected to find Thrawn, they discover that he and his fleet have temporarily departed to watch the Super Bowl, thus they are forced to return to the Arena. When they did return they were confronted by the monotone Ares' Clone[20].

Miss Fire generally fell into obscurity after that, keeping to the background and probably enjoying Mexican food in the audience. However after Raistlin Majere[21] entered the Arena he would later set Ares' Colosseum on a crash course for the Imperial Star Destroyer[22] where Grand Admiral Thrawn was[23]. Many of those within the colosseum tried to leave, however Imperial forces locked down the colosseum and destroyed any ships leaving. Miss Fire herself hope to get away, but was kept grounded by the Imperials[24]. The colosseum eventually crashed into the Star Destroyer, though the fate of those still in the Arena was left unresolved[25]. Miss Fire would later return...
