The Medieval period of Earth's history lasts from the 5th Century to the 15th Century and usually consists of three periods; Early, High and Late. The early period is also known as the Dark Ages and is marked by the fall of Western Rome and the rise of Germanic tribes across Europe. Across the entire breadth of the period, many critical events and persons marked the time, including King Arthur of Britannia wherein he conquered the British Isles and then sailed into space aboard Camelot. Doughnutdelf, the centre of learning for magic, was destroyed by NeSferatu and a new centre of learning was established in Gaul called The Magium.

King Arthur established his dominion across the British Isles, England, Scotland, Wales and all of Ireland by the year 501AD. He had considered attacking European nations but instead, with the help of Merlin the Elder, he discovered Camelot beneath Great Britain[Ext 1] and used the power of Avalon to raise the immense vessel. He, his knights and many kings and people of the land travelled into space aboard Camelot to found Space Britain[Ext 2]. During the year 501AD Merlin the Elder, who was NoSorcerer, intended to pass on the mantle onto one of his three pupils, Lynne, Morganna le Fay or Nyneve. Ultimately, however, he was betrayed by Nyneve who brought in her NeSferatu allies to slaughter the population of druids in Doughnutdelf and trapped Merlin within it. The remaining magic-users that survived the attack decided to move the centre of magical learning to a powerful lay line in Gaul and established The Magium[Ext 3].
