Big Ben became the secret headquarters of the NeS Heroes, who created a base of operations within the tower itself, and called it the Hall of Heroes. Most of the space occupied by the heroes was for leisure and lounging. When it was virtually destroyed by a gigantic plot-hole, the tower was abandoned in favour of the Haunted Hall of Heroes. The tower was still used by MZZT later, as his own personal HQ.
